About OOReader

OOReader is a free app for viewing ODF documents and a wide range of office file formats on your Android device. Open Writer documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, and formulas created with OpenOffice or LibreOffice without installing heavy desktop software.

Supported formats include ODT, ODS, ODP, ODG, ODF files alongside Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX), Excel (XLS, XLSX), PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX), and PDF documents. You can also view RTF files created in WordPad. This broad format support means you can access nearly any office document you receive, regardless of which application created it.

Access your files from multiple locations. Open documents stored on your SD card, retrieve them from email attachments, or pull them directly from cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, and OneDrive. Switching between local and cloud-based files is seamless, giving you flexibility in how you organize and access your work.

OOReader uses online conversion to render documents accurately on your mobile screen, so an active internet connection is required. This approach ensures that complex formatting, layouts, and embedded content display correctly without consuming significant device storage. The app prioritizes viewing fidelity over local processing power.

Note that OOReader is a viewer, not an editor — you can read and review documents but cannot modify their content. For editing, save your changes back to your desktop application. OOReader makes it simple to stay informed and review important files on the go, turning your Android device into a capable document viewer.
